Aeroworx has scooped the award for the UK’s Best Import/Export Company in the 2022 BizX Awards. Held in Farnborough, Surrey and hosted by respected TV broadcaster Clare Balding, the BizX Awards are organised by the international organisation ActionCOACH.
The awards recognise Britain’s most impressive businesses and Aeroworx outshone more than 1000 other thriving companies to take the top spot. Aeroworx was nominated by Hamish Robertson, a Business Coach with ActionCOACH: “Wow! It is a fantastic result. Aeroworx’s founder, Graham Lambert, has achieved so much in such a short time. It is so well deserved.”
Aeroworx is a single-point solution for medical evacuations all over Africa. The company’s vision is founded on a very simple premise: “To enable any person in Africa to have access to world class medical treatment.”
It’s a simple vision but not one that is easy to achieve!
Africa is a huge, complex continent made up of more than 50 countries, speaking dozens of different languages. And yet, Aeroworx is on its way to offering its much-needed evacuation service for medical emergencies to residents of many of those diverse nations.
“There has long been evacuation cover, and there has long been private medical cover,” explains Graham. “Where we are different is that we have combined them into one simple product; a product that is easy to understand and is cost-effective.
“Our members join us on an annual contract paid up front in US dollars. It starts from just $30 a month. We have had 100% renewals on all contracts, which really demonstrates the faith people put in our service.”
One of the key factors in Aeroworx’s trustworthiness is that the company’s operations are underwritten by Lloyd’s of London. In fact, Aeroworx’s credit rating of A+(strong) with S&P is a better rating than that of the countries they operate in!
Graham founded the business following a harrowing personal experience, when he faced the possible death of his wife and unborn son. He was determined that no-one else should have to go through what he did. “I guess because of that, our members know that I understand their trauma and what they are dealing with. They know that I care for them and their loved ones.”
The BizX award judges recognised that doing business in any African country can have challenges but to do business across many of Africa’s countries is truly outstanding. With year-on-year growth of around 13%, Aeroworx is clearly going places – and for those living and working across Africa, that’s great news.
